Account and profile information
Editing requires an account with an email address verified by Google. We receive your verified email and, where available, name. Your company, role, fleet size, operating region, city, and province or state are optional. We use this information to operate your account, understand our trucking audience, and improve EditBOL. Google handles sign-in; we do not receive your Google password.
Product analytics
We record signup date and campaign labels, login and activity dates, onboarding completion, and counts of uploads, started edits, successful edits, downloads, and returning activity. Events are associated with your account and use opaque identifiers to prevent duplicate counting. We do not store PDF contents, replacement text, shipment details, or document filenames in analytics. Our administrator can view account profiles and aggregate product activity.
Uploaded documents
Uploaded PDFs, replacement text, and processing files are used to perform your requested edit and return the result. They remain separate from account analytics. Jobs are temporary: access expires after two hours; files may be cleared earlier when the editor restarts. Expired files are removed during subsequent upload cleanup. Download and keep your edited PDF. Do not include sensitive documents in support requests.
Email preferences and your choices
Marketing email is optional and unchecked by default. If you opt in, we may send trucking resources, free tools, EditBOL news, and occasional service offers. We record your choice, timestamp, exact consent wording, version, and source. Choosing not to subscribe does not affect free editing.
Change your profile or unsubscribe by unchecking email updates and saving in your account. Administrators can export only currently opted-in contacts with recorded consent evidence. New exports exclude unsubscribed accounts. Account records and consent history persist until removed through a support request or applicable operational retention process; temporary document cleanup does not delete your account.
Service providers and security
EditBOL uses Cloudflare for hosting and account storage and Google for authentication. Essential cookies maintain sign-in, prevent request forgery, and protect temporary document ownership. Hosting providers may keep technical security logs. We do not sell uploaded documents or include their contents in audience exports.
